Cultivating successful school food gardens
An online workshop to help build sustainable food growing projects in schools.
8 Jul 2024 16:3018:00
How can we create community networks to sustain our school food growing spaces? What happens to our crops during school holidays? How do we engage parents, teachers and the wider community and where can we find resources to sustain it all?
In this interactive webinar, we will be chatting with Zoe McIntyre from Hackney School of Food, Caroline D'Souza from LEAP London and Rachel Copus from School Food Matters.
We'll be discussing different approaches to working in schools, the power of connecting with local networks, community centers and your council. Learn about sustainable funding streams and how to engage parents, volunteers, and the wider community in support of your food growing aspirations.
And we want to hear from you! So we are allowing plenty of time for questions and discussion. What are your challenges, successes and what connections do you need to make to take your project to the next level? Finish up your academic year with some new ideas and fresh thinking for the new school year.
