SEWN Together – a series of events taking place across South, East, West and North London (hence the acronym!) – dives deep into the four quarters of London to platform the great work happening in food gardens tackling the nature & climate emergency and helping to build more resilient communities.
Each region will have its moment to come together, build connections between neighbouring fellow garden members, and share their vision for community food growing in the capital. A celebration of the diversity, scale and spread of community food growing across London, this event will strengthen connections between community gardens to weave the whole Capital Growth network more tightly together.
The four regional gatherings will work up to the larger Together gathering in Spring 2024 where findings from the SEWN series will be pieced together for feeding into the collective vision.
By welcoming local food growers, community networks and council representatives to each event, we’ll be creating a powerful collective of people who want to see positive change, and are already helping to make that happen. This is a chance for Londoners to share their food growing journeys so far, imagine the future of community food growing and work out the practical next steps to get there.
West Londoners, join us and our co-hosts Social Farms and Gardens for our third of four events at the Hayloft at Horsenden Farm & Hill on Tuesday 30 January from 10.30am-4.30pm to gather gardens in West London.
