This workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of bumblebees. You will learn how to identify the different species and engage with Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s ‘BeeWalk’ monitoring scheme - one of the largest bumblebee datasets in the world.

The event will consist of a classroom session, followed by a Bee Safari around the beautiful Sydenham Community Garden to look for these bumblebee species.

This session is funded by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust so we’re able to offer tickets for free. Booking is still essential as we have limited places.

About the venue: Sydenham Community Garden

This is a wellbeing centre with tranquil community garden and nature reserve where horticultre is used for therapy and rehabilitation.

We will provide hot drinks and biscuits but please bring a packed lunch. Please dress for the spring weather with layers and a waterproof, and wear sturdy shoes.
