- Work at a London council and keen to promote more opportunities for schools to link up with London’s peri-urban farms?
- Part of a peri-urban or fringe farm in London and interested in building relationships with schools such as exploring market routes into schools?
- Based at a London school and want to take advantage of the curriculum links and health benefits for your pupils of engaging with London’s peri-urban farms as well as exploring how to get locally grown produce from these farms into your school meals?
Join Capital Growth, GROW and The Totteridge Academy on Thursday, 3 March from 4-6pm for a guided tour of GROW’s amazing 6-acre food growing site located on the school grounds, followed by presentations from GROW's Farm and Outdoor Learning Director, Sarah Alun-Jones, The Totteridge Academy's business manager & head chef.
Find out how and why this relationship works so well, lessons learned and ambitions for the future as well as a chance to discuss ideas around procurement and how to get more locally grown food into school canteens.
This event will take place at GROW and the Totteridge Academy, Barnet Lane, London N20 8AZ
Spaces are limited so be sure to book your spot via Eventbrite. And come with suitable clothing and footwear for the guided farm tour.
