Time for London's gardens to celebrate the harvest
Join us 23-29 September for Urban Harvest 2021, a week of events and opportunities for Londoners to get involved with their community gardens.
We're gearing up for Capital Growth's 12th annual Urban Harvest. So it's time for gardens to get planning their harvest activities, open days, hands-on workshops and garden visits.
A great chance for gardens to mark the harvest with existing volunteers as well as open the gardens up to new visitors and volunteers from the local community!
We encourage London's community gardens to register their garden, get planning and take advantage of all the help available from the Capital Growth team to make this year's Annual Harvest one to remember!
As well as all the amazing activities taking place in London's gardens, the Capital Growth team will also be bringing you some fab online (and in-person!) sessions including:
- Seed Saving with Julie Smith of Sow and Grow
- Growing for Climate Resilience with Sinead Fenton of Aweside Farm
- Managing a low input, high output market garden with Chrissie Harrison from Keats Organics
- How to Sustain a Community Garden with the team from Incredible Edible Lambeth
And all week we'll also be shining a special spotlight on the amazing role Calthorpe Community Garden plays in creating community and climate resilience.
