Are you a primary school who has just started or are thinking of expanding your food growing project? If your project has been set up since January 2009 or you are thinking of expanding, you can register for our exciting competition – you can even get on board if your growing space is in grow bags and containers!
If you are the teacher, headmaster, parent or community gardener who’s involved with a school’s food growing project, you can register it with Capital Growth, get free support and enter our schools competition for a chance to win some great prizes.
Your school can win...
The top 3 winning schools will each win:
- A celebrity gardener to visit your school
- £500 cash to spend on your school’s food growing project
- Wiggly Wigglers worm café
- Rocket Gardens vegetable and fruit growing kits
12 runners up will receive:
- Rocket Gardens vegetable and fruit growing kits
- Garden tools from Fiskars
- A mushroom growing kit from Gardening Express
- A little potter seed sowing kit from The Seed Pantry
Each school that registers for the competition will receive:
- A certificate signed by the Mayor of London
- A Capital Growth schools welcome pack with free seeds, a Capital Growth plot number, and ongoing support to help grow your own food
What you need to do to enter the competition…

- Register for free with Capital Growth and join the new food growing network in London.
- Enter the competition by answering a few questions and sending a few photos of your space.
